Mary brings 15 years of experience across policy, philanthropy, and fundraising to lead Mercy Corps’ global fundraising efforts with individual donors, foundations, and companies. Through her expert strategy and vision, Mary has spearheaded the fundraising team’s efforts to position Mercy Corps as the partner of choice for high-impact philanthropists seeking to build a better world. Most notably, since joining the organization in 2017, Mary established the Foundation Partnerships team and has strategically partnered with Mercy Corps’ teams around the globe to raise funds in response to crises across global health, climate, human rights, and beyond.

Mary and the team at Mercy Corps began partnering with Orr Group in early 2023 to chart the course for a significant campaign designed to attract new funders and increase awareness of Mercy Corps’ global reach in responding to and building resilience around climate change in particular. We’re currently serving as embedded partners to support Mary and her development team in implementing and managing this ambitious fundraising effort.
