About Shaby

Shaby drives and manages the firm’s client experience function to ensure the exceptional delivery of our suite of service offerings. She oversees all areas of practice, from fundraising and development to strategy and talent management. She works closely with client teams, setting standards for implementation methodology, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation, fostering knowledge-sharing and professional development, and tracking client success metrics.

Prior to leading in this capacity, Shaby served as Orr Group’s Chief Human Resources Officer, where she utilized nearly 20 years of progressive HR experience to build the Talent Practice Area and generate a new source of support and embedded partnerships for the firm. In addition to her responsibilities within Orr Group, Shaby also maintains a portfolio of client projects where she provides strategic advisory support and guidance for nonprofit leaders.

Before joining Orr Group, Shaby served as the Vice President of Human Resources for Congressional Bank, a privately-held financial institution based in Bethesda, MD. In this role, she managed the HR function for the entire organization, helping grow the business from a local 25-person team to more than 300 staff nationwide. In addition to her primary responsibilities, Shaby led the Bank’s philanthropic initiatives, building out their Corporate Social Responsibility program, and supporting area nonprofit groups through charitable giving, volunteer activities, donation drives, and fundraisers.
