About Lila As a Director, Lila partners with nonprofits to develop and implement strategies to raise funds and increase their impact. Lila brings 10+ years of nonprofit experience with a background in major gifts, institutional giving, development operations, strategy, campaign planning and management, Board development, and event fundraising and management. Lila began her career at Orr Group as an Associate and later an Associate Director. Following her initial time at Orr Group, Lila served as Senior Manager of Major Gifts at Urban Institute, where she managed a portfolio of major donors, supported institution-wide fundraising across several policy centers, supported Executive Office fundraising, and built the structure for a retooled major and individual giving program. Most recently, Lila served as Director of Development for Son of a Saint, a New Orleans-based nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of fatherless boys through mentorship, emotional support, development of life skills, and exposure to constructive experiences. In this role, Lila built a team of fundraisers and developed a strategy to increase annual revenue from $700,000 to $5M over four years; planned and managed a $5.5M Capital Campaign to completion; maintained a portfolio of individual, foundation, and corporate donors; planned fundraising events including a 500-person Annual Gala; managed Board relationships and solicitations; and led strategic capacity-building efforts.
