About Carol Carol founded Orr Group with Steve Orr 30 years ago and maintains an active interest and involvement in managing interpersonal relations, events, design, and marketing for the firm. Using her interior design talents and experience, Carol expertly combines visual elements with creative programming to create unique, impactful, and successful fundraising events. Combining flair with practicality, Carol oversees budgeting and logistics for events, which include black-tie galas, golf tournaments, bike-a-thons, and movie premieres. Carol’s career in special events began with political campaigns. She worked with the 1980 Reagan/Bush campaign team to lead its East Coast event fundraising, planning opening day ceremonies at the Statue of Liberty, directing a Fifth Avenue parade, and orchestrating events featuring celebrities including Frank Sinatra and Wayne Newton. Carol also served as the head of her own interior design firm, which led to some of Orr Group’s most notable event successes, including RFK Memorial’s Ripple of Hope Awards events, the RFK Memorial’s event at the Democratic National Convention at the Kennedy Library in Boston, and the Esquire House fundraiser in Los Angeles.
