About Caitlin As a Director, Caitlin works with Orr Group’s nonprofit partners to develop, implement, and execute innovative fundraising strategies to reach their goals. Caitlin is a Baltimore native and has spent her entire professional career in philanthropy and the nonprofit sector. She has experience in higher education, healthcare, and mission-based organizations, both large and small. Prior to joining Orr Group, Caitlin was a member of the National Development team at Year Up, the national workforce development program. In her nearly seven-year tenure at the organization, she held a range of Development roles, both locally and nationally. She spent time both on the Shared Services team (Prospect Research and Management) and as a frontline fundraiser and worked closely with both internal and external stakeholders (including students, program staff, volunteers, individual and institutional donors, and more). Before Year Up, Caitlin spent over a decade at the Johns Hopkins Institutions in the Central Development office, where she liaised with both University and Medical departments, including the Office of Principal Gifts/President’s office, to research and identify prospects and partner with gift officers on prospect management and strategy. Before Hopkins, she was a Development officer at a Baltimore after-school program and a local Habitat for Humanity affiliate. Caitlin is a member of the Advisory Board and a former President of Apra Maryland, the professional development and networking organization for fundraising professionals who harness information and data to drive philanthropy. When I'm not working… I'm hiking, cycling, testing new baked goods recipes, or spending time with my 12-year-old son and our 20lb. orange cat, Johns Hopkins.
