About Brendan

Brendan is a Director at Orr Group in the Advisory Services practice area, where she partners with nonprofit organizations to build fundraising strategies, develop compelling cases for support, and secure major philanthropic investments that advance mission-driven impact. She brings a distinctive combination of strategic thinking, donor-centered storytelling, and deep experience navigating complex institutional environments to every client engagement.

Prior to joining Orr Group, Brendan served as Senior Director of Strategic Initiatives at Georgetown University, where she led the development of the university's 13 "Big Ideas" and priority capital projects for fundraising readiness as part of Georgetown's $3 billion Called to Be campaign. She partnered closely with university leadership to shape major philanthropic investment opportunities and led proposal management for 150+ major gift solicitations. Over more than a decade at Georgetown, Brendan advanced through roles in Alumni Relations, Development, and Campaign Operations — building expertise in major gift strategy, cross-functional collaboration, and high-impact donor engagement.

Before her tenure at Georgetown, Brendan served as a field organizer for President Obama's reelection campaign, where she honed her ability to mobilize communities around a shared mission. She then spent a ski season working in Big Sky, Montana, before returning to Washington to build her career in the nonprofit sector.

Brendan is a double Georgetown Hoya, holding a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service and an MBA, and recently completed coursework in Artificial Intelligence Management. A committed advocate for innovation in the nonprofit sector, she believes in harnessing emerging technologies to help mission-driven organizations deepen donor relationships and maximize philanthropic impact.

When I'm not working...

I can be found exploring DC's coffee shops and playgrounds with my husband and daughter, hitting the trails running or biking, collecting Junior Ranger badges from national parks, or playing board games with friends.
