Tom assists Orr Group’s partners to develop and execute innovative, sustainable, and ambitious growth strategies. His responsibilities include helping Orr Group’s partners manage data, coordinate internal communications and research, and create initiatives that will attract the capital and human interest to grow nonprofits to the next level.
Tom helps lead the firm’s technology working group. This task force focuses on keeping up-to-date with the latest nonprofit management software, and, as appropriate, introducing new technologies to the firm, as well as to our partners.
Prior to joining Orr Group in 2016, Tom worked as a Research Assistant for the Chicago Project on Security and Terrorism (CPOST), an international security affairs research institute supported by the Department of Defense, the Office of Naval Research, and the Carnegie Corporation of New York. In this position, Tom was responsible for researching and writing analytical sections of a report focused on militant group targeting strategies.
