Ana is an experienced fundraiser with over a decade of professional experience in the nonprofit sector working with organizations both in the United States and internationally. At Orr Group, Ana manages strategy development, as well as providing the firm’s nonprofit partners with fundraising support. She works with partners to assess their current state and map a realistic path toward achieving their organizational and fundraising goals.
Prior to joining Orr Group, Ana was a strategist at Save the Children USA. She served on the senior leadership team and was responsible for developing a three-year strategy for a $50 million program focused on children in emergencies and providing children in rural areas of the US with access to quality education.
Ana spent nearly eight years at the National Democratic Institute (NDI), a nonpartisan nonprofit organization working to support and strengthen democratic institutions worldwide. While at NDI, Ana worked closely with executive leadership and the Board to execute initiatives that strengthened the Institute’s ability to deliver on its mission.
Her experience included managing a high-profile Board of Directors and organizing NDI’s first-ever Board meeting and visit to Kenya; designing and managing the Institute’s programs in Eastern Europe and securing more than $9 million in support of these programs; and facilitating a strategic planning process for the organization.
Ana started her career in the nonprofit sector as a volunteer with a local anti-trafficking organization in Bosnia and Herzegovina, where her family is originally from.
