In her role as Director, Amy partners with Orr Group clients on growth strategy, team leadership, and campaigns. With a broad background in philanthropy and specialty in major gifts, Amy develops innovative ideas and pragmatic plans for our nonprofit partners to take their impact to the next level.
Prior to joining Orr Group, Amy led fundraising and communications for international development, scientific research, health, and poverty alleviation causes. Most recently, she was Director of Development at Innovations for Poverty Action and has held similar positions at Operation Smile and Millennium Promise.
Amy started her development career 20 years ago as a grant writer and her experience includes building development departments, refining donor databases, coaching frontline fundraisers, and improving board engagement. She has also created donor communication strategies, produced marketing collateral, and developed multi-channel campaigns.
In addition, Amy managed and co-owned private art galleries for many years in New York and Washington, D.C., experience that underpins her business-minded approach to fundraising and nonprofit management.
With intellectual curiosity and this unique background, Amy brings a rich understanding of philanthropy, well-honed strategic ability, a collaborative style, and a positive outlook to every client engagement.

I like going to see dance of all kinds, practicing yoga and meditation, visiting art spaces, and enjoying local restaurants and parks along the Brooklyn waterfront with friends and family.
