What does excellence and integrity mean to you?
“I think of excellence as an outcome of integrity. And a commitment to integrity means that everything that we do and say reflects what we value and what we value at Orr Group are our client partners and their commitment to their missions and goals. And then our role in helping them be successful. We value providing excellent service, excellent thought partnership and being honest and authentic as we work together to achieve our client’s goals.”
How has Orr Group’s standard of excellence evolved over the years?
“One of the many reasons that I’ve stayed with Orr Group for nearly 15 years is our commitment to excellence and how we partner with our clients. I think we are radically candid and honest in our work and that can mean sometimes sharing tough feedback and advice about changes necessary to meet an organization’s goals and ultimately have the impact that they’re seeking. And it also means, I think for everyone at Orr Group, that providing the best possible service and partnership to our clients at every stage of our engagement together. As I reflect back on 15 years, I think that’s always been true. And at the core of Orr Group and like I said, it’s the reason I’ve loved being here for so long.”
How does Orr Group ensure that we maintain excellence and integrity in our work with our partners?
“I think it boils down to three main things if I had to pick. First, I think really building strong authentic relationships with our clients from day one of our work together. Really seeking open lines of communication. We are radically candid with ourselves at Orr Group about what’s working, what’s not working and we seek to do that with the organizations we work with as well. We expect that and we want that from our clients. So if something’s not working, we want to know. So those authentic lines of communication I think are really important. The other way I think we maintain excellence and integrity is flexibility. So when we do interviews with candidates for Orr Group, we often get the question what does it take to be successful here? And a common response from anyone at Orr Group, no matter your title or how long you’ve been with the company, is flexibility. So at Orr Group, we’re really driven by our willingness, and desire to do things differently and to help our clients change what they’ve been doing in order to achieve their goals. And being flexible is responding to changing our new situations in ways that move us and our clients forward. I think it’s what makes our work so exciting and endlessly fulfilling. And I think it’s also what makes us really excellent partners to our clients. And then the third thing I think is our team approach. It allows us to bring a diversity of experience, perspectives and skillsets to our client partners, which I think ultimately means better advice and ultimately better results.”
