Pulling Back the Curtain on Donor-Advised Funds
The Donor Advised Funds (DAFs) industry has seen significant growth over the last decade. In 2010, 180,000 funds existed and today that number has reached nearly 300,000. Additionally, assets held in DAFs have doubled to over $80 billion today. But what does this all mean? (Source: The Economist).
On November 8th, Craig Shelley moderated a session focused on the growing industry of donor-advised funds. The session, sponsored by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, NYC Chapter, looked at how much money is invested in these funds, and how can you raise awareness about your nonprofit in this environment.
